Tire shop shut down

For code, building, fire violations; now open after repairs

BY CARLA NOAH STUTSMAN
A local business, cited several times for ordinance violations, was closed by Springtown’s code enforcement department Friday, Oct. 27, until the owners brought the property into compliance.
Springtown Tire Center corrected the violations, including tall grass, excessive junk piles, and nuisances, and was allowed to reopen Monday morning, Nov. 6.
The business, located at 324 W. Hwy. 199, has been the subject of citizen complaints, and has been on the radar of the code compliance department since June.
