An altercation south of Springtown led to the shooting death of a 29-year-old pregnant woman and her unborn child.
According to a press release from the Parker County Sheriff’s Office, the incident occurred just before 1 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 5 in the 100 block of Dill Road.
A male on the scene reported he and the woman were arguing and the disagreement turned physical over a weapon which went off shooting the woman in the head.

The sheriff’s office, citing privacy laws and the ongoing investigation, is not releasing further details other than that the Texas Rangers have joined their Criminal Investigations Division in looking into the matter.
