Popcorn Players latest opens Aug. 10

In the midst of its 20th season, the Azle Art Association’s Popcorn Players is presenting Girl of the Frozen North or Condemned to Dead Man’s Glacier.
The comedic play invites patrons to “boo, hiss, cheer, and throw popcorn” at the goings-on on stage.
Directed by Susan Ooten and Ron Counts, Girl of the Frozen North opens Friday, Aug. 10 at 7:30 p.m.
Performances follow Saturday, Aug. 10 at 7:30; Sunday, Aug. 12 at 2:30; Friday, Aug. 17, at 7:30; Saturday, Aug. 18 at 7:30; and Sunday, Aug. 19 at 2:30 p.m.
Tickets cost $12 for adults and $10 for students and seniors evening purchases. All matinee seats are $8.

In honor of the Popcorn Players’ 20th anniversary, a unique performance has been slated for Thursday, Aug. 16.
On that night of the special Girl of the Frozen North presentation, wine, beer, and the popcorn bar will all be available, all for $20.
Two plays remain for the Players 2018 season.
Blythe Spirit runs Oct. 12-14 and 19-21.
The year ends with Dashing Through the Snow Dec. 2 and Dec. 7-9.
