Betty Bass Schwettmann passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 22, 2018, in a Fort Worth hospital with family by her side.
Visitation is from 10 a.m.- noon, Saturday, Aug. 4, 2018, at the Parker County Sheriff’s Posse Headquarters in Weatherford, Texas. Interment will be private at a later date.
Betty was born July 14, 1938, in Beech, Arkansas, to Thomas and Rejina Archer. She was a strong, compassionate, hard working woman who always preached “if there was a willingness to work, there was a way to accomplish one’s dream” and “get your education because no one can EVER take that away from you”. She enjoyed spending time with her family as well as collecting and selling antiques.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Charles Archer; husband, Earl R. Schwettmann of Fredericksburg.
Survivors include sisters, Carolyn McCloud and Linda Tidwell; daughter, Melanie Lindsey and husband, Hoyt of Springtown; son, Charles E. Bass II and wife, Marla of Spring; daughter, Andrea Haynes and husband, Roger of Richardson; daughter, Elizabeth Strot and husband, Ben of Clovis, New Mexico; grand-children, Chisholm Lindsey, LeeAnne Henry, Charles E Bass III, Cayden Bass, Carlie Bass, Justin Bierman, Mason Haynes, Carter Haynes, Nolan Haynes, Austin and Aaron Strot; great-grandchildren, Stryker Henry, Patton Lindsey, Audrey Lindsey as well as many other friends and extended family members whom she loved deeply.
