After a three-day, the body of Theron “Ray” Justice, of Poolville, was located Sunday, July 22 less than a mile from where his truck ran out of gas in Springtown.
According to the Springtown Police Department, Justice and a friend ran out of gas on Thursday, July 19 at 2:30 p.m. in the 1000 block of East Hwy. 199.
The friend went to get gas and upon his return to the vehicle found that Justice was no longer there. The friend drove the truck back to Justice’s Poolville residence.
The following day, Justice’s family reported him missing.
Full-time and reserve officers from SPD were called in to search the area where Justice was last seen. Tracking dogs were requested from other agencies, but none were available.
On the morning of Sunday, July 22, Justice’s body was located in a wooded area near Rhea Lane, about one half mile away from his truck.
SPD said that there were no signs of foul play, and it is believed that he passed away from health conditions the day of his disappearance.
This afternoon the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office confirmed Ray’s identity and his next of kin was notified.
