SHS sees top bracket

The Porcupines arrived at College Station to play in the state 7 on 7 tournament for the sixth time in the last seven years.
Springtown opened play June 28 with three pool games.
SHS began with a 42-21 loss to Lorena.
At the 3 p.m. game, the Porcupines took care of East Bernard 41-24.
Even with a 39-26 final pool loss to eventual pool winner Boerne, Springtown advanced to the championship round.
There, the Porcupines lost a low-scoring contest to Spring Hill, 19-13.
With 7 on 7 ball now over, SHS gridiron athletes can focus on the upcoming season.
After a camp for incoming 7-9 graders July 31-Aug. 2, 2018 practices officially start Monday, Aug. 6.
