Faith Yvonne Pewitt, 72, went to be with our Lord Monday, Aug.1, 2016 in Decatur.
Funeral was held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 4, 2016 at Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Garvin Cemetery. Family received friends from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Rev. Veronica Greanead officiated. Pallbearers included Larry Forman, Charlie French, Doug Munson, Jerry Pewitt, Matthew Webster, and Nick Pewitt. Honorary Pallbearers included Ryan Webster and Kyle Pewitt.

Billy D. Carter, 85, passed away peacefully on Thursday, Aug. 4, 2016 at a Justin area care center.
Memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday at Altamesa Church of Christ, 4600 Altamesa Blvd. in Ft. Worth.
Bill was born in Hood County, the youngest of 10 children on a family farm. He married Rolina Priddy in 1951 in Fort Worth. They raised four children during their 29 years of marriage. The business he built, BD Carter Construction Company, built apartment complexes all over the DFW area during the 1970’s.
In 1980, Bill met and married Carolyn Morrow. She was the mother of two young children and they created a loving family.… Read the rest
Paul Wayne Allison, 69, a loving father, brother and grandfather, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 3, 2016.
A memorial service was held, Tuesday, Aug. 9, 2016 at Alexander’s Midway Funeral Home. Burial of cremated remains will be held at a later date in Springtown Cemetery.
Paul was born May 26, 1947 in Des Moines, Iowa to Glen Harold and Garnette Lee Ward Allison.
They both preceded him in death along with a son, Frank, step-son, Charlie; siblings, Everett, Edith, Elsie, Pearl and Leo.

Benjamin Franklin Maple, 90, a loving and faithful husband, father and grandfather, went home to be with his Lord, Friday, July 29, 2016 at home, surrounded by those that loved him.
Funeral service was held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, Aug. 3 at Western Star Cowboy Church, Springtown. Burial immediately following at Annis Chapel Cemetery.
Benjamin was born Aug. 24, 1925 to Delbert and Ann Marie Maple. They both preceded him in death along with a brother, Joe: daughter, Donna and sister, Nandel. He served in the Navy during WWII and was a retired truck driver.

Shawn Robert Brown, 18, a manager at Arby’s in Decatur went to be with his Lord on Sunday, July 24, 2016 in Decatur.
Memorial service will be at 10 a. m. Thursday, July 28, 2016 at Hope Lutheran Church.
Shawn was born Feb. 17, 1998 to Gloria and Brian Brown. He went to Springtown High School. He was an avid fan of basketball, football, Pokémon, magic, and bacon.

Tim Leroy Bennett, 77, loving husband, father, grandfather and brother passed away Friday, July 22, 2016, at a local care facility with family at his side.

Tim was born to Roy Bennett and Kathryn (Switzer) Bennett on Feb. 17, 1939 in Collinsville, Illinois. He married Patricia Bennett on Sept. 2, 1978 in Troy, Illinois. Tim was a retired regional sales manager for Reichold Adhesives.

Euradean was born Sept. 23, 1920 in Tillman County, Oklahoma to the late J. Ray and Lillie Scott. She was a loyal member of Springtown Church of Christ. She loved to be on the go and enjoyed reading her Bible.

Steven Meek of Springtown, Texas passed away on July 25, 2016.

Steven was born April 26, 1968 to his parents, Olin Charley Meek and Barbara Joy Mead in Dallas, Texas.
While the family is greatly saddened by Steven’s leaving this earth, they rejoice and celebrate his new beginning with our Lord and Savior in his new home in the eternal Kingdom of Heaven.
Steven is survived by his father, Olin Meek.

Harold Wood, Jr., 68, passed away Tuesday, July 12, 2016.
A memorial service was at 1 p.m. Friday, July 15, at White’s Funeral Home in Azle.
Harold was born and raised in Wallace, North Carolina. Harold and his wife Mary enjoyed watching TV together and taking many trips to visit family and friends. He loved his computer and computer gaming. He was an outdoorsman who loved fishing, hunting, and camping.
Harold retired from the U.S. Navy after serving 30 years. He also worked 20 years with IKON Office Solutions, and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Azle.
Survivors include his wife, Mary; children, Amy LaSalle and Tommy Wood III; step-children, Jamie and Christina Epps; seven grandchildren; three brothers; one sister; and many other family and friends.… Read the rest
Delbert I. Dake, 71, passed away Tuesday, July 12, 2016.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Monday, July 18, in Biggers Funeral Chapel. Interment was at Ash Creek Cemetery in Azle.
Delbert was preceded in death by his wife, Sylvia, and brothers, Gary and David.
