Avonne “Nonnie” Jeanette Scott passed away March 8, 2016 at the age of 82 after a long challenge with dementia in Azle,Texas.
Memorial service and graveside service for Mom and Dad will be held Tuesday, March 29, 2016 at 11 a.m. for family and friends at Springtown Cemetery.
Nonnie was born on Nov. 5, 1933 in Los Angeles, California. She was the daughter of Grayburn Martin (1906-1988) and Ermine (Carlisle) Hoeck (1913-1982). She married Herman Allen Scott, Jr. (1928-2014) on June 22, 1951 in California. They were inseparable for 63 years. They are now reunited.

Michael L. Henry, 62, went to heaven with his loving wife at his side, Sunday, March 13, 2016 at home, after fighting liver complications for eight years.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, March 29, 2016 in Alexander’s Midway Chapel, Springtown.

Michael was born Dec. 29, 1953 in Fort Worth to Otis and Marie Henry. His body was donated to UNT Science Center in Fort Worth. Eula Faye “Fritz” Owens, 82, passed away Thursday, March 17, 2016.
Graveside service was held at 1 p.m. Tuesday in Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park. Visitation was from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at Biggers Funeral Home.
Fritz was born Oct. 21, 1933, in Spur and has been a longtime resident of Lake Worth and Springtown. She retired in 1995 after 22 years with Miller Brewery.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Buddy Owens; sons, Buddy Ray Owens and Donald Wayne Owens; and great-granddaughter, Taylor Owens.
Survivors include son, David E. Owens; sister, Florence Cromeens; five grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.… Read the rest
Harry Fred Melear Jr., 80, a retired lab technician, passed away Friday, March 11, 2016 in Decatur after succumbing to leukemia. No services will be held.
Harry was born on May 9, 1935 to Harry Fred Sr. and Mary (Hughart) Melear in Haslet. He was united in marriage to Sara Matilda Ufret on November 30, 1982 in Fort Worth. Harry worked at Burris/Cargill Mills for 42 years as lab tech and test baker. He served his county in the Texas National Guard. Harry enjoyed many creative talents such as building model planes, leather work, HAMM Radio and many other interests. Martha Ann Gray Taylor, 74, passed away Friday, March 4, 2016, with her family at her side.
Funeral Service was held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at White’s Funeral Home, 401 N. Main, Springtown, 76082. Interment at Goshen Cemetery. Visitation was from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at White’s Funeral Home.

Gladys Keels, 84, passed away Saturday, March 5, 2016. Funeral service is at 2:30 p.m. Friday at Second Baptist Church, Angleton.
Burial: Immediately following at Angelton Cemetery.
Gladys was born November 12, 1931 in Marcus, Iowa to Samuel Thomas and Lena Arizona Richards. They both preceded her in death along with her husband, Marshall Keels and five brothers and three sisters.

Audra Dee Hamilton and passed on March 1, 2016 at her residence in Springtown. A funeral service was held on March 5, 2016.
Audra was born April 8, 1970 in Highland Park, Texas. Audra worked as a customer service expert for O’Reilly Auto Parts in Springtown.
Audra was preceded in death by her father Joe Jack Hamilton.
Survivors include her mother, Lilymae George; husband, Jerry Heliker; two sons, Joe and Josh Heliker; all of Springtown and daughter, Jessica Michelle Jones of Mesquite, Texas; a sister and two brothers along with two granddaughters.

Kenneth Eugene Bankhead was born Feb. 18, 1941 in Lawndale, California to Charlie B. Bankhead and Irma Clara Waddle-Bankhead. Kenneth married Zelma “June” Rich. Together, they raised two sons and a daughter; Timmy Hudson, Kenneth Bankhead Jr. and Christyna Breitenstein. Kenneth also leaves ten grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and countless friends. Kenneth will be greatly missed.

Billy Whitehead, 86, passed away Tuesday, March 1, in a Decatur Hospital.

Billy was born to Othe Whitehead and Irene Hall in Cleburne, on Oct. 6, 1929.
Billy was a man who loved life to the fullest. He had 40 plus years as an aircraft mechanic, retiring from Lockheed. He was a rancher who loved his longhorns, and had served his country in the Air Force.
Billy was preceded in death by his parents; loving step-mom, Virgie Whitehead; brother, Ferris Whitehead; and granddaughter, Crystal Frazier.
