Betty Henson Jennings, 87, died Saturday, Nov. 5, 2016 after a brief illness.
She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother, a Christian lady of great character who had a zest for living.
Betty was born Sept. 27, 1929 in Chillicothe to Claude Herman and Ora Alice Henson. After spending much of her childhood in Fayetteville, Arkansas, she graduated from Winslow (Arizona) High School in 1947.
She attended Northern Idaho College of Education in Lewiston, and worked for the Santa Fe Railroad in Winslow and Phoenix before enrolling at Abilene Christian College, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology in 1953.… Read the rest
Gerald Lamont Shinn, 79, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 1, 2016, in Fort Worth.
Funeral was held at 1:30 p.m. Monday in Green-wood Chapel. Interment: Moore Memorial Gardens, where husband, father and friend, Gerald Shinn, will be laid to rest. Visitation was from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Greenwood.
Gerald was born in Ty-ronza, Ark., on Aug. 26, 1937, to George and Mary Shinn.
Gerald was very active in Azle civic affairs. He was on the board of the Azle Pas-toral Counseling Center and honorary member of the Azle FFA. Also, he was chairman of one of the fund-raising committees of the Eagle Mountain Area Suburban Hospital (now Harris, Texas Health Resource of Azle.)
He was a charter member of the Azle Sertoma Club, which was founded in 1972.… Read the rest
Jeanetta Whitehead, 87, passed away Thursday, Nov. 3, 2016 in Paradise.

Jeanetta was born Feb. 17, 1929 in Bowie to the late Alvin and Jeanetta Corley. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and friend.
Jeanetta was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Whitehead; Roy Fredrick; son, Roy Terrell; and parents.
Survivors include her daughter, Jeanetta Russell; son, Carl Russell; step-children, Bonnie LaVeault, and husband, Paul, Vincent Whitehead, Kevin Whitehead, and Sean Whitehead and wife, Teresa; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren.

Claudia Hallmark, 74, beloved mother, grandmother, and sister passed away Nov. 6, 2016 in Weatherford.

William Calvin Cash, 81, a loving husband, daddy, and granddad, passed away at home with his family at his side on Oct. 27, 2016.
Funeral was at 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 31, at White’s Springtown Funeral Home. Interment was in Springtown Cemetery.
Calvin was born Feb. 24, 1935, in Waco to Jim and Minnie (Young) Cash. He grew up and graduated from Springtown High School. Calvin loved fishing and hunting with his sons and grandsons, and delighted in playing cards with his great-grandchildren.

Raymond Loyd Sanders, of Poolville passed away Monday, Oct. 24, 2016 in Weatherford, he was 58.

Raymond was born on March 14, 1958 in Fort Worth, Texas to BJ and Bettye Jo Sanders. He was an avid hunter, outdoorsman and poker player, most of all loved spending time with his grandkids.
He was preceded in death by his father, BJ Sanders and grandson, Brennan Harrison.

Billy Louis “Bull” Wood, 88, a loving father, and grandfather, went home to be with the Lord, Thursday, Oct. 20, 2016.
A visitation and memorial service was held, Sunday, Oct. 23, 2016 at Alexander’s Midway Funeral Home in Springtown.
Billy was born Feb. 8, 1928 in Joshua to William Mallie and Thelma Ruth Custer Wood. They both preceded him in death along with his wife, Bobbie Jo Hall Wood; and siblings, Curtis, Frances and Charles.
Billy served in the US Marines and retired from Lockheed where he was an Electronic Technician. He enjoyed garage sales and fishing.

Joyce Marshall Porter, 81, of Springtown, beloved mother and grandmother went home to be with the Lord on Oct. 7, 2016 in Decatur surrounded by her family. Joyce had a very sunny disposition. She was caring and generous. She loved to laugh. She loved her family, children, and animals. Throughout her life she worked with pre-school aged children. Wanda Rae Fuqua Bradshaw, 84, a loving and faithful wife, mother, sister, and grandmother, passed away peacefully, Sunday, Oct. 9, 2016.
